What is a grant? Miley’s friends at Youth Service America (YSA) have grant opportunities to help Get Ur Good On! A grant is money you can apply for to fund an idea you have for a service project. If you are awarded the grant, you can use the grant money to buy materials or supplies you need for your project. Youth Service America has several grants you can apply to. Here are the grants you can apply for now:

Miley's friends at YSA will award Disney Friends for Change Grants of $1,000 each to support youth-led service projects in the United States that address any issue of your choice on Global Youth Service Day (April 20-22, 2012). We’re looking for projects highlight the creativity and commitment of young people like you working to meet the needs of others.

Whether you are passionate about protecting the planet, providing meals to those who need it or giving kids just like you the resources they need to star in their own play, be an athlete or an artist, you can be a Friend for Change! Whatever your interests, a Disney Friends for Change Grant can help you make a difference for people, communities and the planet.

Applications are due by midnight February 29, 2012. Get started here.
