For the second time this year, Miley Cyrus and the Starkey Hearing Foundation traveled to Haiti. Cyrus and a dedicated group of Foundation team members worked for three days in three cities in intense Caribbean heat. In a country beset by poverty and still reeling from the destruction of last year’s earthquake, the mission struck a decidedly hopeful note—especially when, on Day Two, Haitian President Michel Martelly unveiled a new school in Marchland Dessalines, in which all the children that were fitted would now be able to freely attend.
