- I'm Amy Cronin. I'm 14 years old and have been recently inspired to do my part in volunteering. I'm an ordinary girl, I play soccer I love to shop and hang out with my friends and of course my "boys of the moment." But even though I'm just one person, a teenage girl at that, I feel like I can make a difference, I believe everyone can.

Cancer is a really serious thing. When I was in fifth grade my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. That really hit me hard, from the time I found out about the cancer till the time my mom received her last chemotherapy treatment I was truly in a state of depression, it was like even if something good was happening my mom being sick was always in the back of my head. Not gonna lie, I've never been the poster child for volunteering and doing great things. In fact, I'm far from that poster child. But I have recently been inspired to do my part and start finding ways to volunteer around my community and donate to my favorite charities regularly (there's so many out there its really hard not to find one you feel strongly about.) Teen suicide is something that hits close to the heart with me. Unfortunately its something I've lost loved ones to. But something a lot of people don't realize is teen suicide can be prevented.
