Today I was outside walking in my neighborhood when I spotted something small, fuzzy and strange walking in the woods. I decided to take a look and walked up to it, turns out it was a 4 year old kitty walking in the snow freezing! It had'nt eaten anything in a long time because it was very skinny. Just two days ago, my bestfriends mom died of liver cancer. My friend is 16 and her sister 19. She was diagnosed in October of 2007, fighting for her life through the tough months for two hard working years. The funeral was held today, collecting tears and sorry's from every person sitting in the church. It has been very hard for the McGowan family. Please make every second, minute, hour, month and year of your life your most precious moments.

When I think of service learning I think of teens and little kids helping out their community in every way possible. Wheather its just recycling, picking up trash off the grass or even planting a tree, there are plenty of ways to help our earth survive and make the world a better place.
