So if you have read my past blogs you know that I participate in Habitat for Humanity.

Well this weekend was dedicated to Martin Luther King day. Usually, MLK many of us do a kind duty of service whether we volunteer in our community or just help around the house. I've been very busy so I haven't gotten the chance to blog. But I have been helping out a homeless shelter thirty minutes away from my house. I have also been helping a lot at church to donate to several soup kitchens. I have probably made at least 500 cupcakes & 300 brownies this month alone. I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen but I really don't mind because its for a good cause and its a lot of fun. What is service-learning to me … well it’s an interactive way were WE can get a group of people to help in our community. I’ve done some already with habitat for humanity. Habitat for humanity is an organization where we build homes for the ones in need of them. In my school we build homes in the surrounding areas.
