christmas hampers

so last weekend I done something so rewarding. In Friday we packed Christmas hampers for all the housebound and sick in our parish and it was loads of fun. On Saturday we split into groups and gave them out ans this was one of the best things I have ever done. All of the people were so thrilled with the hampers and reacted like we just told them they had won the lottery, just to know people were thinking about them. I'll deffinatley do it again next year!!

Salvation Army Toy Distribution

If you ever get the chance to do this, or anything like it, I highly suggest it. This kind of volunteering isn't behind the scenes like some, this is right up front and in the action. Today I experienced helping many people and seeing the direct results within minutes. Productivity

Finally at the age of 17, I have come to realize that I am a much more productive person when my room is clean. Persistence Is Key

This Christmas season, Macy's is donating $1 to the Make a Wish Foundation for every letter to Santa that you bring in to their stores. Cystic Fibrosis/Miley's Tattoo

Everyone knows what Cystic Fibrosis is. (If you don't, it's a hereditary disease that affects ur whole body causing progressive disability and often death.) My thought is that since Miley got a tattoo of the CF Foundation slogan, we should help raise money and support the CFF, too. I'm trying to find out whether there's an annual CF walk where I live.

Volunteer!

So, my last blog post was about, me volunteering for this charity program at our school. SEP or Supplementary Education Program. Well, I just signed myself up for two more of those next year. I acutally enjoy it. It's fun to like help out and stuff. :)

YouTube: Project for Awesome!

Today on youtube there was an event called Project For Awesome. Its been going on for 3 years the VlogBrothers started it. Anyone on youtube makes videos to give information about a charity. Everyone chooses what they want to support and they make a video about what it is and how to help out or donate. If you go on yotube and see a video with a thumbnail that says "Project For Awesome" on it , it will be a video about donating and helping out charities.
