Children in Need:- We did it!

Hey guys!

So we finally did our sponsored walk! We raised a total of £2O4.78!!! (about $643.98) and we are really happy! It was a long walk but it was worth it. We even had a sign saying "Beep for the Bear" (The Mascot for C.I.N is Pudsey Bear) for cars who passed by! it took us a few hours but it was a memorable journey and we are proud to have taken part.…

Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is right around the corner!

For me, this is a big thing because I know people who had/have Breast Cancer and I also lost my aunt from Breast Cancer. My grandma lost her battle from cancer back in April of this year. For Breast Cancer Awareness Month I want to do special things for the both of them, and raise more money for Breast Cancer. Even though my grandma didn't have Breast Cancer, I know that she would be very proud of me raising money and doing…

Volunteer at the Food Bank or SPCA

Hey Guys!!

I have thought of some ways that we can help out in our communuties. I haven't ever done this but some friesnds of mine recently volunteered at the local food bank. They stocked shelves and they said it was a lot of fun! I am thinking of volunteering at the SPCA this week. I have no idea what they will have me do but I'm looking forward to finding out. I will make a blog about how it went.

My Own Good

In girl scouts for our bronze award we had to do a servvice project. Our troop decided to do something called birthday boxes. What we did is we ask everyone we knew to donate supplise for the boxes (wraping paper, ccake mix, icing, party favors, candles, decorations, plates, cups, forks, spoons, knives, ect.) We asked schools, family, friends, and lots of other people to help us out. What we wanted to do was give people the chance to celebrate their birthdays who didn't have enough money to be… Continue

Happy New Year everyone!

2010 can be a great year to start off fresh and Get Ur Good On! One of my resolutions is to be a better person. I want to help out more by doing more community service and volunteer my time to others. This year, I hope to make a big change in my community. I'm going to conserve more, make sure everything gets recycled, carpool, etc. I want to make donations to as many causes as possible. I want to make a difference! There are so many things in store for 2010… Continue

There is a bigger picture ...

After being through evetthing I've been through these last three and a half years, I can honestly say that one of the hardest things is figuring out and balancing what matters and what doesn't. The ability to weed through social inadequacies and distinguish the superficial is something you can only acquire on your own. It's amazing the energy people will put forth in putting someone down, or figuring out whose dating who, or when the next party is. What you don't realize is that there IS a… Continue

Introduction.

I'm new to this and I just wanted to say that I am so happy this website has been created. I and so many other teens around the world are doing amazing things to help others but not a lot of us can share it with the world and I believe this website can help us. Hit me up and we can talk because I love meeting new people especially the ones I share common interests with.

Make December a Month of Giving

Wow. I can't believe a month has already flown by. I think everyone did a great job making November a month of service. It is officially December and it's time for a new start. Since it's the holiday season, I think we should all make December a month of giving.

Here are some ideas of what you can give:

Give away (volunteer) your time to a certain charity.

Give away (donate) your old clothes to charity.

Give away old toys that you don't use anymore. Toys for… Continue
