This morning at school I gave 10 euros to the AIRC, an association for cancer research . In exchange for my donation they gave me some delicious oranges from Sicily. Oranges, like other foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants are an important aid in the prevention of different diseases, not least the cancer. To find more information about AIRC you can connect to this address: http://www.arancedellasalute.it/

Ok, so today I saw the hundred ways I could help "get my good on" and I found the best site! On http://www.freekibble.com/default.asp?a=2745 you can play the game "bow wow trivia" and everytime you play the orgabisation gives free kibble to dogs in homeless shelters. Also, there is an option to feed cats as well. Personally I love this site, but there is one flaw, you can only play it once a day! Anyway, so if you want to get your… Continue

Wow. I can't believe a month has already flown by. I think everyone did a great job making November a month of service. It is officially December and it's time for a new start. Since it's the holiday season, I think we should all make December a month of giving.
Here are some ideas of what you can give:
Give away (volunteer) your time to a certain charity.
Give away (donate) your old clothes to charity.
Give away old toys that you don't use anymore. Toys for… Continue

The holidays are a time for family and friends to come together and bring joy to each other. Today in school we were talking about how a lot of elderly people in the community don't have any family and friends around and the holidays can get pretty lonely for them. My class decided we should devote one day next week to making cards for the elderly in nursing homes
. These cards don't have to be anything fancy. Just say something like Happy Holidays with a nice message and a pretty drawing… Continue

I just wanted to say Happy 17th Birthday to Miley
! Thank you for teaming up with GetUrGoodOn and showing me all the ways I can get my own good on. Miley has inspired
me to get out there and do good for the community. I've done so many service projects this month that I normally would have been too afraid to start. I volunteered at an elementary school, collected food for the needy, organized a park clean up, and participated in a beach clean up. Miley has shown me that you're… Continue

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching we are all reminded of what the holiday is all about. Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks for what we have. Most of us are lucky to have friends, family, shelter, and food. Unfortunately, some of us aren't that lucky. At my school, we have collected food for needy families. Hopefully with the food that we collect, a lot of families will be able to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
Here are some things that you can collect at your… Continue

It was an amazing experience. I have wanted to for a while but you had to be 16 and I finally could! I saved three lives by donating blood. I am also allowed to donate every 5 months, and I plan on doing so. It honestly didn't hurt and I didn't get dizzy whatsoever. I walked off the big red bus feeling like I did such a good thing. [= I encourage everyone who can donate to do so and go get ur good on!! [=…

I tryed to help out at a few animal shelters but unfortunatley I am too young. But I want to say even if you get turned away dont give up, there is always something for you to do. I am now looking to organise an event with my friends and donate to the local animal shelters. So remember please never give up if you give up the world will get no where but if you try, try and try again you will soon succed and make the world a happier place.

You may not have heard about the site Charity Buzz. It's a really awesome site with really awesome auctions. All the money goes right to charity. With this site you could hang out with a celebrity for a day, attend a filming of a show, movie premieres, award shows, backstage passes the possibilities are ENDLESS! Me and my family love this site, and we've purchased a few things from there. One great experience that me and my family had was we won an auction for tickets to the 'Do Something'… Continue
