What do I think of service-learning?

When I think of service learning I think of kids and teens getting together to learn and help the community. What I would do is try to spend more time outside and less at home. I see so many kids my age on the computer and I find myself in the same place as well. I think we should be doing things to help our bodies, mind, and our life. Service-Learning "with one little action, the chain reaction will never stop"

What is service-learning to me … well it’s an interactive way were WE can get a group of people to help in our community. I’ve done some already with habitat for humanity. Habitat for humanity is an organization where we build homes for the ones in need of them. In my school we build homes in the surrounding areas. In this task we are able to help in the construction site but we leave the more intuitive duties to the older guys. I think doing hands on activities will motivate you to do… Continue

Limit Electricity Use

Today I started a new goal in my family. I want my house to not use as much electricity. I unplugged anything I was not using, and turned off all the lights not needed. Whenever there is a light left on and not needed, the person in my family will have to do a chore they usually don't have to do. This could help limit electricity because nobody likes chores :) But really, I like the feeling of helping our planet, and I hope this is one way we can save the earth!
