2) Become a regular volunteer at a hospital

3) Host a fundraiser and donate the money to Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or your local children’s hospital

4) Write letters to patients
A Get Ur Good On user suggested a way to make patients in hospitals happy if you can’t visit them. Write letters or send e-Cards to them. She wrote a blog post about Make A Child Smile, an organization that gives people the opportunity to send mail to children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses: Her blog post

5) Plan a volunteer project for your local hospital
A group of 2nd graders at Aspen Ridge Elementary planned a service project called “N.I.C.E. Books for Babies.” They created and delivered packages of a baby board book, clothing, a stuffed toy, and coupons for baby products from local businesses. Then, they delivered the packages their local hospital.
