Global Youth Service Day 2011!

It’s time to get ready for Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) again! This year, GYSD is on April 15-17. I’ve been involved with GYSD ( a program of my partners at YSA) for a few years both through spreading the word and participating in projects. Last year, I did a project with the Make-A-Wish foundation and had an AMAZING time; watch this video about it.

I want to encourage you to get involved because GYSD is the only day of service that focuses specifically on young people and the good that they can do in their communities. Plan a project; you can find project ideas in the 10 Ways to Get Ur Good On for GYSD list or visit GYSD.org to find a project to join. Please share your pictures, blogs, and videos from your project on GetUrGoodOn.org. I’m so excited to see what you do!

I've been a HUGE fan of urs for a long while now and when we (me and my sis Sarah) found out about get ur good on we couldn't believe it. It's such and great idea and i (maya) want to say THANK YOU!! thank you for being a part of get ur good on. There is no doubt that ur changing a lot of peoples lives including mine. I'm nervous just writing to you. Hopefully one day we'll (me and my sis) be able to meet you (i'm sure we'd both be a nervous wreck though :)). We've both read your book and listen to your music (LOVE IT) and the hannah music, have watched all the hm eps, watched the last song and hm movie and watched a million interviews with you.

Any way i won't go on - u probably get a bizzilion people telling you that.

The main thing i want to say is THANK YOU. thank you for being the person you are, strong minded, kind, caring, funny, witty, loving, easy going, talented. You've always stuck to what you believe in and never let any one change you. I can't think of how many times i've fallen asleep thinking of you and how many times i've been sitting there crying but it makes me feel better to think about you and what you've said. THANK YOU!!

I heard an interview a few days ago (it was an old interview) and you said "i think my dad is one of the coolest dad's and i think he should write a book"

Well i TOTALLY AGREE with you. So PLEASE PLEASE get him to do it.

Over the past few years when ever i've felt like saying something to you I've written a letter to you. Now i've got quit a collection of letters (still growing) and i really truely from the bottom of my heart hope that i can give them to you some day in person.

Sheesh! That would be a dream come true.

If you've got this far in reading my "letter" thanks, i know you've got a million others to read. Stay TRUE, stay YOU ALWAYS! i'll ALWAYS LOVE u no matter what
