Wow. I can't believe a month has already flown by. I think everyone did a great job making November a month of service. It is officially December and it's time for a new start. Since it's the holiday season, I think we should all make December a month of giving.
Here are some ideas of what you can give:
Give away (volunteer) your time to a certain charity.
Give away (donate) your old clothes to charity.
Give away old toys that you don't use anymore. Toys for Tots (http://www.toysfortots.org/
) is a great organization that takes old toys.
Give away food to a homeless shelter or some type of harvest drive.
Give away old books that you don't read to your local schools or libraries
That's just a small list of a BILLION things you can give away. Get together with your friends and brainstorm what you can do. After you think of a few things, put your ideas into actions. "With one little action the chain reaction will never stop."
Remember it is better to give than to receive. :)
P.S. I would love to thank Portia from GetUrGoodOn
and Youth Service America
me the opportunity to meet Miley this Wednesday. I'm so excited!
