Get Ur Good On

March blog topic: Miley & Getting Ur Good On

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy reading everyone’s blog posts. Last month, I asked a few members to write blog posts about why they get their good on. The responses were amazing, so I want to continue this with a “blog topic of the month.” Each month, I’ll give you guys a topic to write about and a tag to use. Then, your blog posts will show up on the Get Ur Good On Facebook fan page. There are no rules for how long or short or what language the blog has to be; just write what you want! You can write a poem or a song too.

March’s topic is…….(drum roll), “How has Miley Cyrus inspired you to Get Ur Good On?” Please tag your blog “MileyGood.”

And I also want your suggestions for future blog topics; send me a message on the Get Ur Good On profile if you think of a good one. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help getting started.

"MileyGood"
Well if it wasn't for Miley I would have never found out about GetURGoodOn! I was at her Dublin concert and a vid for GetURGoodOn came up on the big screen while she changed backstage! Also, when I was on Mileyworld people were commenting on GetURGoodON, so I decided to check it out. And when I did... I thought it was amazing!!! The diffrent small things you can do to help the world!!! I mean when I heard Miley (on that vid) asking for people to help her, help the world (since shes my role modle) I wanted too help immeditly!!! And now I'm trying to do my best to help our world!

MileyGood How has Miley inspired you to Get Ur Good On?
Well if it wasn't for Miley I'd never have got my good on!! My inspiration to become part of Get Ur Good On, began with 4 things that Miley did. Firstly, I heard the songs Wake Up America and Send It On, I heard my favourite singer, my hero, my rolemodel asking me to help her make a diffference in the world so I immediately wanted to. I knew that if somebody as famous and amazing as Miley Cyrus wanted to make the world a better place and that she made the time to do it I sure could! Secondly I saw a video of Miley performing at a City of Hope concert and I watched the video where Miley takes a little girl from the audience and lets her sing The Climb with her and seeing the joy Miley was bringing to a little girl who had suffered a lot made me smile and it made me want to do things that could bring a smile to peoples' faces. Thirdly I heard about Miley's Sweet 16 party and the money she gave to YSA, I do not live in America but I knew that Miley cared about what young people were doing all over the world and that she supported young people who were trying to make a difference. Fourthly I read Miley's book - Miles To Go I read of the struggles she had faced and how she never gave up even when things were hard, and I read the words - 'If this caerer gives me any power, I want to use it right. So if I can make a day a little brighter you bet I'm going to do it.' I knew I wasn't Miley Cyrus and nobody screamed my name at a show or wanted my autograph and I knew that there was little chance I ever would be (even though it is my dream to be an a actress like her and Miley taught me believe in dreams). I knew I couldn't wait for the day when or if I ever had a career like Miley's, so I decided that the little things I could do just as a regular girl, I would do because whilst they may not change the world they will make a little difference if just to one person. So my Get Ur Good On began with little things like turning lights out when I wasn't using them and then it grew to helping out at a local Girl-Guiding group and I hope someday that I will be able to make an even bigger difference and I know that as Miley said if I ever have the career that gives me the oppurtunity to make a big difference to people's live you bet I'm going to do it and even if I don't I know that if everybody does a little it makes a lot and togerther we can make a difference. Thankyou Miley for being who you are I lvoe you and support you forever xxxx

how good I am inspired to join (get ur good on) to start was the song "Wake Up America" then that is an example to follow is that little spark for all to be better with their environment if many children not caring what is going on your surroundings so I think it is in our hands to make all this better.

Hi i am writing today about how miley inspired me to Get ur Good On, well it all starts from the moment miley became famous... back in those days this website wasnt around and there were many fansites that encouraged people to join and have fun. Ever since 3 years ago when Miley joined city of hope i knew i wanted to help out. Like miley said in a previous interview " ever since the earthquakr in Haiti i felt like i had to help out" made me realize that i should really be more into sites like Get ur Good On and city of hope. I got in to recycle, reduse, and reusing old items. i know that miley is always helping out no matter what the cause and that is one amazing girl. We should all be like her and help out. Miley always connects with her fans on mileyworld saying how she is going to partner up with ebay once again and donate money to those who are less forutnate. that really means a lot to people like me. I went to her concert 'Wonderworld' and about a half a million people were there supporting her. Right before the show went on they had a short clip from Get Ur Good On about saving the planet. Miley was in it. Ever since then i got more into sites like these. Thank you, Caroline Zimbalist!

If I am to write about how Miley has inspired me to get my good on, then I will have to speak about her book, Miles To Go. The book is not available here in India, but I asked my mother to get it from America, and she did. I finished the book in one day, and it gave a great feeling of fulfillment. It contains Miley's experiences and thoughts, which are very inspiring. The ways in which she has struggled through her problems and emerged as a wiser person have taught me to do the same. Growing up in the spotlight has been difficult, but she has remained patient and has not swayed from her beliefs. Quoting her father's song," Sometimes the hardest thing is holding on to a dream", I can say, that since the beginning, Miley has held on to her dream to entertain people and make them happy. Every time I find myself in a mess, I read her book and listen to her music, and try to find a solution. I also think that Miley is very brave. She knows that she is not perfect, and she will make mistakes in life, and she's not afraid to tell the world about it. In an interview she once said," The moment we stop making mistakes, we stop learning". That is so true. I keep it mind. Miley , in her book, also talks aout her relationship with fellow actor Emily Osment, which has helped me with a friend of mine. Miley and Emily, for many days and months, were not on very good terms. They had fights and squabbles, but then they put themselves in each others shoes and respected their differences. Now they're good friends.
I look up to Miley and I know she will achieve success and remain true to herself. I will try to do the same and remember that " There are two sides of all of us, one is who we are, and the other is who we become if we follow our dreams."

I, Omorose have always loved Miley Cyrus & usually I have good explanations to why; But now that I think about it.. I love Miley Cyrus even more. I remember me being a person who was just mean to people & Judged people without knowing them. Honestly, I wasnt a big fan when I first knew Miley. Miley is one of the few people who has honestly taught me what it is like to love someone without knowing them. Its hard to like someone when you hear negative things about them from other people. I've been Judged from people before they acually knew me. & For example there was this girl that people didnt like and was telling me how much a whore & fake person she was but when I acually sat next to this girl I realized how much of a sweet mellow person she was. & Thats when I look at Miley & Watch her interviews & see how REAL she is and how she doesnt hide behind her mistakes and THATS my role model.. THATS what inspires me to want to make a change. Yes, Miley has lots of Miley & lots of things but it doesnt make her any different from us. I realized Miley life is NOT perfect. Im pretty sure if each of these people in this world was to meet Miley Cyrus Im sure atleast 80% of those haters would realize how much Miley Cyrus is a beautiful person who is worthy to be respected. I, myself put myself in Miley's shoes for a day and realize how messed up the media is & how people are always in her buisness and how people want to choose who she dates and all that stuff and I realized that its MILEY's life. & She's taught me to worry about my own life. I got to be honest, I dont see that Smiley Miley anymore but Im pretty sure she's smiling on the inside & that Miley's greatful. Also, Mileys bond with her mom has really helped me in my mothers & I's life & made me realize that I need to be in my moms life more often. Btw, I love you Miley, You inspire me to live my dream & pursue it & not listen to those haters. You made me realize to turn my cheek & say "to the left, to the left" like beyonce. I love you Destiny Ray Hope Cyrus & regardless if you see this or not just know I have your back forever. Keep on doing what you doing. Keep on helping. Be YOU. Be what you want to be. Do what makes you happy & dont regret anything thats happened now because if those break-ups/haters/medias didnt happen... Then you wouldnt be so strong & bold now.

---- ALSO, You've taught me to be open hearted to bring back people from the past even if other people are telling you no or even if it hurts abit because you've made me realize that without that person the storm can never end.. You made me mend relationships & mend hearts & Made me join community things. I love you Miley :] Byeeee
