MLK WEEKEND.

So if you have read my past blogs you know that I participate in Habitat for Humanity.
Well this weekend was dedicated to Martin Luther King day. Usually, MLK many of us do a kind duty of service whether we volunteer in our community or just help around the house. Just some small acts of kindness. Well what I did was I participated in a Habitat Day Build. What we do there is we either start building a house from scratch or fix a ruined one. What we did was renovated a terribly conditioned house. There was a group of about 16 students from the club I do at school and we did various jobs. These jobs included putting up blinds, siding, insulation and other forms of work. I did the insulation of the house. It was such an experience to learn some tricks of the trade, while helping a family who will soon have a home to live in. It was a team effort starting to remodel a house. It's a learning experience, I also made new friends and I felt really good about myself. I hope you did something good this weekend.
