The amazing feeling I got from helping others

Hi everyone! I just wanted to write and say that I think it is amazing that Miley is helping kids get their good on! I know many people think that doing things like community service and volunteering is so much work and just takes up time, but it really is fun and makes you feel so amazing seeing people happy, and knowing that you have helped make a difference. I recently made an early holiday dinner for women and children at a shelter, and it was worth it the moment I saw a smile on their faces. We do not have a lot of money, so we were fortunate enough to have had Publix donate some money for the food, and I was able to purchase some toys for the kids with a gift card my mentor gave me for getting all A's in school. I loved being able to give out toys to the little boys and girls and get to see them having a good time. They are at this shelter, because these women and children are getting away from abusive situations, and I am glad to do anything I can to help them forget the bad stuff and just be able to help them have a fun night! It was just as fun for me to. I love to cook, and I got to do tons of that because there were over 30 people! Also I had a great time helping everyone pick out a few toys that they liked. Seeing these women and children happy and having a good time just made my heart feel great and gave me tons of happiness inside. They were all fantastic people and I would love to do it again as soon as possible!
