Get Ur Good On

You can earn points on @15 to support YSA!!

It's time to start earning points for the next "big give" of $250,000 coming up in January 2010. Learn more about the nonprofit charity choices featured in this round and start earning points! Coming up in mid-January 2010, teens (age 13-18) can give away as many of your current points to any or all of the four featured nonprofit. At the end of that point donation period, @15 will divide up the money based on how the teens (all teen members on at15.com, age 13-18) decided to donate their points. Start earning points now until January, and you can contribute your points to any of these organizations:

Youth Service America
DoSomething.org
STLF (Students Today Leaders Forever)
NYLC

This is a great opportunity to show that young people like you guys can make a difference! I wonder just how many points the Get Ur Good On community can earn for YSA....Let's start doing good!

Today I went to a conference at a fostercare agency with a fosterparent that had the child in her home since he was 11 years old and now and they removed him at age 19. The young man has mental health issues and is not getting the services from the agency. I was able to advocate for the fosterparents and talk to the child and they were able to work out the situation. The boy will be returning back to his fosterparents that love him on friday. I was happy about supporting the fosterparents because they were not being supported by their agency.
