Hey all get ur good on people! I'm danni, and this is my blog post of the day!What i would LOVE to do is sing with miley at a hospital for children. Though they may not care that i am singing, they care that she is singing and it would be wonderful for them if Miley could be there. It is my dream to sing with miley infront of kid cancer patients, because i would want to brighten up their day! It's great to see kids smile. It is the biggest reward. As you may know, i raised $1,200. Six months ago, we had planned buy a Wii system from nintendo for Shriner's Hospital. It took us a while to raise the money, and during that time, the hospital was donated two Wii system! I was disappointed because that had been my goal for six months, but instead of whining and moping , I decided to call the Child Life department of Shriner's hospital, to see what they need. - How did you celebrate Global Youth Service Day?
- i am raising money for Diabetes. I hope they can find a cure. Right now i am getting sponsors for the American Diabetes Association, and i will walk in the diabetes walk. So far i have made $175. My goal is atleast $200.
I made $236 for the diabetes walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- If you were the mayor, what changes would you make in your community?
- I would most definately make my community more environmentally friendly. I would start to raise money, so that i could buy solar powered things. this would save ALOT of energy. I would also start a volunteer group of people around my community. In this group i would do a weekly service project such as picking up trash around the city, going to a homeless shelter on christmas or thanksgiving, and seerving them food, food drives, clothing drives etc. I also would help people who do not have enough money to fix their houses, like if they have mold, or if they don't have air conditioning. I could do so much good if i was mayor. EVen though i am not mayor, i can still do so much though!
- What are the 7 Things or problems in the world you want to help solve?
- I would like to solve:
1. I want to END war. Right now my cousin is in the army and we are always worrying about him. I just want peace. Why can't people talk things out, rather than always going straight to violence as their answer.
2. I want to stop hunger. So many people starve every day. No one should have to go through that. I want people to donate even just a dollar towards feeding the hungry. We are so fortunate to have food, and we don't even realize it!
3. I want to find a cure for cancer. Every year, 12 million of people are diagnosed with cancer. So many people die of cancer each year...too many. I have lost my grandpa to lung cancer, and it was just horrible. I can't imagine how painful it is to go through. This disease needs a cure.I want to find it.
4. I want to help stop animal abuse. Poor animals are being abused every day. It is unfair! Animals cannot speak for themselves, so we have have to speak up and be their voice! There is absolutely no reason for people to hurt helpless animals! they have done nothing to us! we need to prevent animal abuse! we have to be their voices!
5. I also want to help kids stay out of drugs. Drugs are disgusting and terrible! Kids need to be aware of just how bad they hurt you! We need to put an end to these drugs and get those drug dealers once and for all! We need to spread drug awareness.
6. I want to put a stop to cliques! i hate them! So many kids are victems of nasty cliques! i want people to talk to kids at schools about what cliques really are! I want people to tell kids that they need to stand up for themselves and speak up for what they believe in. I want to teach them to be leaders not followers. I was constantly picked on by mean girls and it was just horrible! i felt like i wanted to cry everyday because of their rude comments and nasty put downs. I especially want to teach girls that they can't just sit back and be made fun of! They need to stand up for themselves! Let their voice be heard! Once i stood up to those mean girls, they never picked on me again! i want to teach them to stand up for themselves.
7. More than anything, i just want peace. Now i know that might stand corny, but it is true! We need to put aside our differences and just stand together as one! Who cares about your race, religion, or what you look like, that should not matter. We need to start acting like a nation. We need to get along. We can still have opinions, without pulling out guns, or bombing something. We need to think logically. Is hurting innocent people to prove your point, really getting us anywhere?

- Hi! My name is Danielle Sontag.I live with myt mom, my dad, two cats, and a puppy. I am in middle school.I was born in Jackson, michigan. I loved it there. It was a really small town where everyone knew everyone, and i loved it that way. When i was 7, my dad's company went bankrupt, and he was forced to find a new job. We then moved to Scotch plains/ fanwood, New Jersey. I started second grade there, and made tons of new friends. I began to like it ther, but i always missed michigan. People in New Jersey were not the same. They were always in a hurry, and never had time to get to know you, unlike good ol' Jackson, Michigan. It took a while to get used to that. After living four years in New Jersey, my dad decided he wanted to start his own buisiness, so we moved to Tampa, Florida so that he could open his store with his buisiness parter, who our family has know for a long time. His store is called ZoeyBloom, and it is a womens accessories shop. It is the coolest place EVER! The first year we moved here, was not a good year for me though. In the beginning of 2007, i got really sick. I was in a lot of pain and was constantly seeing doctors and going to hospitals. I missed three and a half months of school so i never really got to know anyone in my school. I was having severe stomach pain, migrains, and just felt horrible. I had almost every type of test you could think of and was constantly getting poked and prodded with needles. It was the worst time of my entire life. Even once i had to be taken away in an ambulance, which was a scary experience. They never found out what was wrong with me. Over time it went away, but i hope that it never comes back and that i never have to go through that again. After three and a half months, i went back to school. I never felt like i fit in. i was made fun of, and talked about. I had a mean girl who always was trying to put me down too. Once, a group of girls were eating lunch. I decided i would go sit with them. I sat down with my lunch box. They all whispered, and then all got up, and left. I ate lunch alone, as usual. It was the worst feeling.
After the year was over, i desided to switch school. I needed a new start, new people, a fresh beginning. After applying to this school that my neighbor who was my age went to, i got in. It was a great school. She introduced me to her friends and we all seemed to really clique. It was great! we all turned into best friends, and today we are even closer! I finally felt like i belonged.
I am a very sporty girl! i am on a swim team, and have been ever since New Jersey. I did dance for 5 years, i did acrobatics ( sort of like gymnastics), I do Tae Kwon Do, And most of all i love THEATRE!!!!!! i am a very musical person. I love to sing, act and dance, and i hope that someday i will be on broadway or on TV! I also spend a lot of my time doing charity work! That is most of the reason why i decided to do Get Your Good On! i have been raising money for six months, for Shriners Childrens Hospital in Tampa. I am working towards buying them a Wii system because it is therapeutic. All the rest of the money will be a donation. I am also raising money for the american diabetes association. I have raised $175 so far! in the past i have also mad multiple donations to the make a wish foundation. I really find great pleasure in giving! i like to do whatever i can!

i almost forgot to tell you guys that i am in a youth group! recently, we went to a Weinnberg Village ( a nursing home) and we got to talk to some of the people there. When we got there, they asked if a couple of us would go to the memory impaired unit. Only a couple of kids raised their hands, including me. So wen we got there, I talked to a lady named Mary. Because thanksgiving is in a couple of days, i really wanted to do something for the people who can't afford to go all out and have a feast. My mom and i are going to bake pies, casseroles, and other dishes, and give them to a homeless shelter. I think they deserve a nice, home cooked meal! can't wait to start baking! see ya!!!!
