Get Ur Good On and Operation Smile want you to Get Ur Good On for Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) 2011, a day of service powered by Youth Service America. GYSD, April 15-17, is the only day of service that focuses specifically on youth and the good that they can do in their communities.
You can make a difference in the lives of children with cleft lips or cleft palates by raising funds through your service projects during GYSD. Hold a bike-a-thon, bake sale or a benefit concert with your friends. There are many ways to get involved and create new smiles for children born with facial deformities. Here is a list of more fundraising ideas.
If you raise $240 you can give a child in need a bright new smile! Create a fundraising page and keep track of the funds you raise to your page. Create a OneSmile page with a goal and send it to family and friends via email and Facebook to let them know you’re raising smiles for GYSD!
Remember to register your project on the GYSD map!

I'm pretty sure I'm not old enough, ( I'm only 11. well in 18 days :/ ) plus I'm SOOOOOOOOOO scared of needles. But, I'll encourage everyone I can. :D

Sadly, I have always turned down the people with the blood donor vans. I am terrified of needles (yet I work in a hospital). I know how horrible that is. BUT I truly am touched with that video and I WILL be giving blood that day! This will be my first blood donation that is not related to a test my own doctor ordered. You are awesome Lizzie, and Miley for supporting such a great cause. What a role model you BOTH are!
