- How did you celebrate Global Youth Service Day?
- I am CEO of my own mentorship program, Alanas' Achievers, an Athletes for Education Program (a 501 (c) (3) org) in San Diego. I have a reading program "Tra & Alana's Reading for Life Literacy Program" w/Tra Battle of the Dallas Cowboys and I have a scholarship progam to help kids financially so that they may play sports, take a class in the arts (dance, acting, singing, art class, etc), tutoring, along with gas cards to help the parents get them to these activities.
- If you were the mayor, what changes would you make in your community?
- I would & planning on creating a variety of after school programs that would include time for homework (providing tutoring if needed), participating in their activity while including healthy snacks. Not everyone is interested in sports, nor does everyone want to play video games or take dance class, etc, so it's important that we try to find their passion because then they will thrive which will in turn help raise their self-esteem which is vital. My goal is to help kids reach their own personal stardom, whether it be financially or mentoring so they can feel good about themselves!
- What are the 7 Things or problems in the world you want to help solve?
- Illteracy, education for every child, poverty, hunger, cruelty to humans, cruelty to animals, preserve the rainforests

- I am 11 years old, a student, actress and have my own mentorship program, Alana's Achievers, an Athletes for Education Program based in San Diego, CA, USA. You probably know me best as one of the original classmates from the hit Fox TV Show "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" I have taken my newfound celebrity and created a foundation to help young kids between the ages of 4 and 16 develop positive goals in life and more importantly, help them work towards achieving their dreams.
Achievers will focus on the importance of a good education and healthy lifestyle by promoting the benefits of a solid education, healthy eating habits and an active life that includes fitness.
Kids will be rewarded for keeping their grades up, perfect attendance, and good citizenship. It is my goal for Alana’s Achievers with others, to help make the journey of the youth in our communtiy a little bit easier, whether it monetary or mentorship, as we hope to play a big part in their road to their personal stardom. I have been very fortunate to be able to pursue my dream to be an actress, my career has provided me the opportunity to have been cast a hit TV show, and meet many famous people, gone to really cool events, and given back to my community. None of this would have ever been possible without the support and love from my family and friends.”
I have a reading program with Tra Battle of the Dallas Cowboys (former San Diego Charger) called "Tra & Alana's Reading for Life Literacy Program which has been very successful working with 3 classes this school year and 5 more signing up for next school year. I also have my scholarship program to help kids participate in extra-curricular activities. I support many charity events as well so that I can make a difference in my community.

A week ago, I had the opportunity to go visit my friend Kourtney at the hospital!!! I wasn't sure what to expect as my mom tried to prepare me but when I walked into the room ... all I saw was my beautiful friend, with a few pink extensions in her hair ... watching TV after an eventful day!
