Thanks everyone for all the awesome comments, emails of encouragement and new friends I have made through this project. No matter what we are all winners!
We did 24 hours! 24 Hours is a youth led project that get middle school and high school students together to simulate being homeless for 24 hours. We stay in appliance boxes and only eat food that is donated to us. We use the event to put together back packs and raise awareness to the over 1.3 million homeless youth in this country.
If you were the mayor, what changes would you make in your community?
I would develop a 10 year plan to end homelessness asking all community organizations to become involved with it.
What are the 7 Things or problems in the world you want to help solve?
1)Homeless youth
2) to assure kids have the basic supplies to succeed in school
3) every child in America can read and has access to books within their homes
4) every child in America feels loved and cared for
5) a cure for AIDS
5)A cure for cancer
6) Equal Health Care for every American
Short "About Me" section
My name is Zach and I am 12 years old and a 6th grade student at Hillsborough Virtual School. I am the founder of the Little Red Wagon Foundation. I started my foundation after Hurricane Charlie hit in 2004. I love doing projects to help my community and kids. I can not imagine my live without it. My main focus is homeless youth but we also help kids in title 1 schools, foster kids, kids in domestic violence shelters, kids of migrant works and many more.
This is awesome, Zach! You are doing some great help for the Earth. I am the same age as you, and I am inspired. If you and others keep this up, the world will become a better place!
