When I was 10 years old, my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, for the second time in her life. This time it came back as Stage 4 and had spread to her liver, lung and bone. Since then, she has endured many different types of chemotherapy, and even a surgery a little more than a year ago to place a hepatic pump in her abdomen to pump the chemo directly to her liver.
