Wow. I can't believe a month has already flown by. I think everyone did a great job making November a month of service. It is officially December and it's time for a new start. Since it's the holiday season, I think we should all make December a month of giving.

When I think of service learning I think of kids and teens getting together to learn and help the community. What I would do is try to spend more time outside and less at home. I see so many kids my age on the computer and I find myself in the same place as well. I think we should be doing things to help our bodies, mind, and our life. Today in school we were talking about how a lot of elderly people in the community don't have any family and friends around and the holidays can get pretty lonely for them. I don't know about your state, but Florida has been having some beautiful weather lately. It's not too hot or too cold. It's just perfect. Unfortunately what's not perfect is the park in my neighborhood. There is litter all over the playground. With the weather being so nice out, kids want a place where they can play outside. What is service-learning to me … well it’s an interactive way were WE can get a group of people to help in our community. I’ve done some already with habitat for humanity. Habitat for humanity is an organization where we build homes for the ones in need of them. In my school we build homes in the surrounding areas.
