I helped to Get My Good On by purchasing a pink Sharpie, signing and uploading the picture at Sharpieuncapped.com. In this way it will not only provide the donation to Breast Cancer but more importantly it will help Miley raise

awareness of breast cancer in the youth of today all around the world. As a University student in the health care

system that is graduating this year I see a lot of patients and families

effected by breast cancer, as well as many other…

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

On Saturday, September 25th, I participated in the breast cancer walk. This was the second year in a row that I have done this. This day was very rewarding for me, and it will be a day that I will never forget. My school, Chamberlain College of Nursing, participated in the walk as a group. I am proud to say that with almost 200 members, our group was the largest group within the two days that the walk took place in our area. Our school raised a lot of money, and in the end was also recognized… Continue

In my school we had cancer week, where we wore colors that matched up with a type of breast cancer. On Wednesday we had Breast Cancer week, where we had a pink out at the volleyball game. The biggest thing was that touched me was when i got to write a story in journalism about the counsler who's wife was a breast cancer survivor, she told me how thankful she was to be alive and how she lost a breast to it... that inspired me to be thankful for my life i have the chance to live cancer free.…

Get Ur Good On for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

When I was 10 years old, my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, for the second time in her life. This time it came back as Stage 4 and had spread to her liver, lung and bone. Since then, she has endured many different types of chemotherapy, and even a surgery a little more than a year ago to place a hepatic pump in her abdomen to pump the chemo directly to her liver. My mother is truly one of the strongest women I know. I was forced to mature very quickly at a very young age… Continue

Breast cancer awarness

In my school the student body created a Breast Cancer club. I joined to make a difference and help fight for cancer. Recently I put up posters on mail boxes,

street lights and doors. I posted them there specifically so that people can

just take a glance and think about how they can help. My BC club was…

Breat Cancer awareness month!!

Breast cancer awareness month is almost over, which makes me sad (D=) but there are still people out there with breast cancer. I did a few things to help the cause this month, and here's what i did. I wore all pink to six flags (including my breast cancer hat when i could), participated in the Susan G Komen for the cure in Boston, and went to a breast cancer luncheon last weekend hosted by cousins against cancer. So first off, there was the Susan G Komen for the…

Getting my good on for Breast Cancer

One of the things I did to get my good on was ordering a t-shirt from the Norwegian Cancer Society. 90 - 100% of what I paid goes to the Norwegian Cencer Society and their work to find cures and help fighting against Breast Cancer. That means I supported them with around 50 dollars for the t-shirt. It's really cute and I'm wearing it alot all the time and everywhere!

I also bought a pink pearl ribbon made by Zuluwomen this summer (also bought from the Norwegian Cancer Society). There… Continue

GetUrGoodOn4BC Bake Sale

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month I got my good on by organizing a Breast Cancer Bake Sale. A few weeks ago I began searching for a place to hold the bake sale. Harris Teeter finally approved the idea and we started planning what everyone was going to bake. My mom, aunt, and three of my friends all helped with the baking. We made cupcakes, cookies, pumpkin whoopie pies and whole cakes and ended up baking over 600 wrapped baked goods to sell! On the morning of October 23rd, 2010 at 10:00am, we… Continue

Hi our names are Rachel and Caroline. Four our project for Breast Cancer Awarness month we really took this to a deep thought. We made posters that describe the effects and facts about breast cancer. We went on womencancer.cityofhope.org and read all about the serious conditions of breast cancer. The posters resemble the symbol of this tragic cancer and how you can reduce your chances of getting it. We hung the posters up… Continue

Many years ago, before I was born, and before my mom was even married, my mother's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and unfortunately lost her battle with it. I am a devoted supporter of breast cancer and finding a cure because the disease took my grandmother away from me before I was given the chance to meet her. On Friday, October 15, I got a pink extension in my hair at a local hair salon. The money for the extension went as a donation to the American Cancer…

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I had to start helping somewhere! I simply wanted to help all those women who’s lives have been affected by Breast Cancer. I’m lucky enough not to have experienced the loss to it, but I do know it leaves scars in families everywhere. If I lost my mum, cousin, Nan or best friend to it, I would do all that I could to help others, just like I am now. All month I’ve been writing in pink pen everywhere, mostly in my school books and…
